Three-branch candlestick

The item shown in the image is an iron candelabra designed in a rustic Gothic or French Neoclassical style. Its central element is the *fleur-de-lis* (lily). This symbol became officially associated with the French monarchy as early as the 12th century (during the reign of King Louis VII) and adorned coats of arms, flags, and palaces. In medieval Christian tradition, the flower's three petals symbolized the Holy Trinity, while the flower itself represented purity and holiness (leading it to be frequently referred to as "Mary's Lily").
