This backup generator was donated by Yossi Sofer (Ami Katz's son-in-law) and is produced by FG Wilson, a company established in 1966 by Fred Wilson with just six employees. Today, FG Wilson stands as a leading global provider of generator sets. While the world has evolved significantly since then, FG Wilson's commitment to quality, support, and value remains unchanged.

Fred Wilson left school at the age of 12 to work on the family farm with his father. Soon after, he joined an engineering firm in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he gained engineering knowledge while servicing buses. Starting in the late 1940s, he engaged with plant machinery and tools, occasionally repairing and installing compressors and diesel generator systems.

In 1966, Fred took the bold step of launching his own engineering company, FG Wilson Engineering Ltd, to bring his vision to life.
