In the early 1950s, moshavim (communal settlements) began purchasing tractors for their communal garages. These tractors were used for a variety of tasks, including plowing, threshing, removing potato mounds, spraying, and transporting goods for the moshav members.

Around 1958-1959, we purchased the tractor from Moshav Chrot, where it had been working in the communal garage. Two years later, together with Yigal Shtasman, we performed a partial overhaul on the tractor.

From 1959 to 1965, the tractor was used to spray peanut and potato fields on our farm and in the fields of Ein Vered and Kfar Hess.

During those years, peanuts were grown in the moshav, and the tractor was also used to harvest peanuts, spray tomato fields, and plow. It harvested hay in a converted horse-drawn mower.

In 1969-1970, it was used to transport citrus fruit containers from the orchard.

From 1970 to 1980, it hauled fruit wagons from the farm to packing houses in Beit Yehoshua, Ner Banim, and Charmesh Mishmar.

During those years, large quantities of new Ferguson 135 tractors were purchased, and people were surprised by its fragile appearance and expressed amazement at its ability to pull four loaded fruit wagons.

In 2003, even as a pensioner in the tractor museum, it demonstrated its strength and ability by pulling a tracked tractor in the Jerusalem hills.
