Disassemble and transfer a water pump engine from the seed farm in the north of the country. The engine was installed in a well within an agricultural area and served as a water source for irrigation. It was impossible to reach the well with heavy lifting equipment. The truck arrived at the site through the terrain at the entrance to the well courtyard, a large eucalyptus tree blocked access to the crane mounted on the truck. The engine was released from its place manually; we managed to turn it while it was placed on a concrete pedestal, using a winch from one of the jeeps. After the engine rotated inside the structure, we dragged it to the well courtyard, and from there, the crane managed to lift it... and transfer it to the museum in Ein Vered. The engine, a Caterpillar model D 13000, such engines are installed on D8 tractors, a 1948 model engine. Since the well was connected to electricity many years ago, electric motors have replaced the diesel engine that has not been working for over 20 years. Recently, we received a notification/request from the museum to come and take the engine, as scrap metal thieves had started dismantling parts.
