The technical department of the Mashbir HaMercazi (head: Dov Shiba, Kibbutz Eilon) and the agricultural technology department (head: Moshe Klopschtotek, Moshav Moledet) partnered in an endeavor to replace horse and mule power in the family farms and villages with an affordable tractor - the Zaatut.
The Zaatut was manufactured in the central garage in Haifa under technical supervision of Ze'ev Stern, head of Hamashbir technical services.
